Georgia Ann Scurry Roundtree

Ms. Georgie Ann Scurry Roundtree, 71, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016, in the Mayo Clinic Health System, Waycross, GA, following an extended illness.
Ms. Roundtree was born December 8, 1944, in Blackshear, Ga. to the late Ben Franklin Scurry and Annie Crawford Aldridge.  She had worked at Cady Bag as a machine operator and was of the Baptist Faith.  She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Buford Roundtree; four brothers, Randall Scurry, Benjamin Scurry, Jerry Scurry and Jackie Crawford,
Survivors are one daughter and son-in-law, Tiffiney and Jerel Anderson of Pearson; four sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Tammy Roundtree of  Person, Wesley and Caroline Roundtree of Homerville, Kenny Roundtree of Pearson and Tim and Karen Roundtree of  Americus, Ga.; one brother and sister-in-law, Julian and Ruth Scurry of Waycross; 10 grandchildren, John Wayne Roundtree, II, Heather and Devin Long, Mitchell and Taylor Roundtree, Ben and Elizabeth Johnston, Brock Roundtree, Lee Anderson, Autumn Anderson, Annie and Dustin Bagley, Tonya Roundtree and Chad Roundtree; three great-grandchildren, Camden Roundtree, Aleigha Johnston and Ethan Bagley; a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services for Ms. Roundtree were held Saturday, January 30, 2016, at 11 a.m. in the Harvest Time Church of God.
Officiating was Rev. Robert Spivey.
Interment was in the Enon Cemetery, Blackshear, Ga.
Active pallbearers were Tony Jordan, Andy Shaw, Ivan Crawford, Jason Knowles, Earnest Taylor and Cody Barnes.
W.G. Smith sang “Amazing Grace” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain”.
